Farewell My Concubine

  • Commentary:  Under construction.  I believe I have purchased the restored, almost three hour, cut of this movie. I did lots of digging and I hope I found (and purchased) the restoration. Considering that it hasn't yet been released and won't be until two thirds of the way, I'm pretty sure I've got the uncut version. We'll see. If you're curious about to what I'm referring, after reading Ebert's original review, linked to the title of this post, read the follow-up review written almost exactly 10 years later by Brian Tallerico wherein he explains the shameful Hollywood history of this extraordinary film (and, as it turns out, many others).
      More, of course, later.

The table above is a scandalously abbreviated list of all the actors in this movie. I will be fleshing it out later.
