Uta Hagen's Acting Class
- Commentary: I received this disc from MPN, who acquired it when she was studying to be an actor. I'm not sure why she gave it away, although I know why she gave it to me: because of my interest in film and, thus, acting.
I've watched it at least three times since she passed it to me, more than a few years ago. I find it endlessly interesting, especially when I'm in the middle of a Movie Deep Dive, which usually leads me to consider such things as film construction and acting technique.
The material on this presentation is available through YouTube at the following links:

Full Class Undivided
You don't have to be an actor to find this very crafty (pun intended) material interesting. I imagine, though, that it does help to be fascinated with not just the content of films, but the but the making of them.
There are also two books freely available on the internet about acting written by Uta Hagen both of which look intriguing. The links, unfortunately, are not translating, here, into clickable links, but a quick search engine should bring them up for you and they are both downloadable in PDF format:
Respect for Acting
A Challenge for the Actor
