  Commentary:  Under construction.
    This is a collection of seven movies written, directed and produced by Wong Kar Wai. Frankly, I feel extremely lucky that I found this collection on sale for 50% off through Criterion, during one of their 24 hour Flash sales.
    I already own one of these films and have seen two others, all of which mesmerize me. I will likely donate my extra film to my library. I notice, in the entire county system, only one copy of one of these films exists.
    Although information is available for all these films, it's going to take me a little while to collect it, post it (and construct the Actor/Role tables). These films have been discussed and reviewed all over the internet and I want to take my time looking for suitable entries. You can find mini descriptions of each film at the immediately previous link. It's also going to take me some time to construct just the list of films into this post, so, Dear Reader, hang in there.   Commentary:  Under construction.
    Yes, yes, yes! I love this movie! I have for well over a decade. Surprise, surprise, so did Mom! I think she liked it because it was so kinetic and colorful. As well, as I recall, except without direct quotes (it's been a long time since she and I saw it), she loved the individuality of the characters, their daring, and their moxy; that's a word she would have used, although I don't remember her using it, specifically, after watching this film. I also remember that whenever we watched it, during the final credits roll, she would sit back with a wide, satisfied grin and say, "I like that one! We should get it." We never did, but, at that time, during her last 11 years, it was somewhere on TV whenever either of us thought of it. Not so, of course, now. But, I was reminded of it last night when I suddenly thought of Nicolas Cage movies. So, it's on its way to me, right now.
    I often think of Mom hovering around me, watching particular movies with me when I play them. If I'm right that she does that, she'll definitely be here this week when this movie arrives and I slap it in the player.
